Yoga as a way of life

About Me
Kylie Scott
Welcome to my very simple website.
What began over three decades ago as a personal yoga practice slowly unfolded into a calling to share, to guide, and to hold space.
I completed my 200 hour YTT in 2006 with Nicky Knoff and since then have undertaken 500+ hours in both Yoga and Ayurveda trainings. I will always be a student of Yoga and continue to evolve as a teacher.
My path has woven through many lineages — Tantra Hatha, Yin, Bhakti, and Ayurveda — but at its heart, my teaching is simple: come home to your body, your breath, and your soul.
When we gather in practice, it’s not about shapes or performance. It’s about softening into presence, creating space for what’s real, and remembering that within us all is a quiet, unwavering light.
Beyond the mat, my greatest joy is being mum to my now teenage son. Together we live in a small coastal town - Exmouth, Western Australia — a place where the desert meets the sea, and the open sky constantly reminds me of the beauty of simplicity, the rhythm of nature, and the deep medicine of slowing down.
For me Yoga is a lifestyle - a way of living consciously and harmoniously, with ourselves and others.

My Classes

HATHA YOGA
This is a complete practice - weaving steady intentional movement, breathwork, meditation & rest.
Suitable for those wanting a more inward experience.
(75 min)

BHAKTI YOGA
Kirtan and Devotional Chanting
Kirtans are held sporadically throughout the year.

GENERAL YOGA
A moderately paced practice centred around mindful movement and breath awareness.
We begin with flow sequences to warm and open the body, then gradually slow down into longer held floor postures & a nourishing relaxation.
(75 min)

YIN YOGA
Soma Wellness
A slow floor-based practice. You will be guided into each shape & invited to soften, settle into stillness & rest there. The longer holds allow the body to gently release while the nervous system unwinds. A quiet medicine for body, mind & soul.

About Us
Journey Into Yoga is based in Exmouth, on the stunning northwest coast of Western Australia. Exmouth is world-renowned for its pristine beaches and the breathtaking Ningaloo Reef. Each year, our small town comes alive as people escape the southern winter and retreat to this unique patch of paradise where the desert meets the sea.
Exmouth became my home in the year 2000, and it has been my privilege to share yoga with the Exmouth community and its visitors since 2009. Over the years, a vibrant and supportive yoga family has grown here, creating a space where connection, wellbeing, and presence are nurtured.
Classes are welcoming, inclusive, and designed to support everyone—whether you are new to yoga or deepening your practice. We love inviting visitors to join us, and we encourage each person to enjoy their time on the mat in a way that feels nourishing and true to them.
