About Me

Kylie Scott

Welcome to my very simple website. Here it is midway through 2021 and finally after 15 years of teaching yoga and running my yoga business I am putting together a website!

I have never been a fan of technology. Up until very recently I have shied away from creating a website and social media. Now it seems due to current world circumstances, I have begun to lean towards stepping a little more into the online world.

Yoga has been part  of my life for close to 30 years. I completed my 200 hour YTT in 2006 with Nicky Knoff Yoga in Cairns Australia. It wasn't my intention to teach Yoga at first, I joined the training as I wanted to immerse myself in the practice with commitment and learn more about this thing called yoga that was bringing so much ease into my body and life.

Since my first training, I have completed an additional 300+ hours in Tantra Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Ayurveda.

I will always be a student of yoga and love that it is a never ending journey of discovery.

One of my greatest joys is to serve others. Just recently I recognized that I tend to sign up for the yoga trainings with my main intention being to bring the new practices I learn into my classes, therefore, the intention is to teach/serve others.  I want to offer more to the people that attend my classes and that is why I sign up for the trainings. What I have found though, is that through doing these yoga trainings,  I then go home and dedicate myself to the new practices, I embody them, and make them my own before sharing them with others. So, I am in-fact serving myself fully in the process of preparing to serve others. This was a light bulb moment when I noticed this tendency, and I think this is what keeps me keeping on - this is what keeps me inspired and motivated on this path.

I don't think I would have signed up for the extra trainings, travelled the distance to get to the trainings and spent the huge amount of time and money on them if I was doing it just for my own benefit - it is the intention of serving others that gives me purpose, and I feel so privileged that I have found the path of yoga that allows me to live and work in a way that supports myself and those I share yoga and life with - such a wonderful exchange that gives me a deep sense of connection and helps me thrive in life.

I have another greatest joy, his name is Josh. My 10 year old son. He is the perfect companion and my greatest teacher. I am beyond blessed to be his mum! Together we live a simple and comfortable life in beautiful Exmouth, Western Australia. You will find us at the beach most days!

YIN YOGA

Floor based practice.

The Yin Yoga class is a floor based practice. I will guide you into a shape and you will then settle into stillness and allow for the longer held time in each pose to do the magic for you. Sometimes I include some gentle movement to begin the class which is also floor based.
Medicine for body, mind and soul.
